The mitten has a side zipper for ventilation or insertion of heat packs. There is extra protection for the fingers and the knuckles. The finger shaped lining is Reusch DryZone XR designed to keep your skin dry and warm. The insulation is Thinsulate 3M and Fiberfill. The unique microfibers of Thinsulate insulation are about ten times smaller than the fibers of other synthetic insulations, which means theyre much more efficient at trapping air. . . and more effective at keeping you warm and comfortable. It also means more fibers can be packed into the same space, where they can reflect back more of the bodys radiant heat.
