Rossignol PS 10L Rucksack / Backpack is the baby brother to the PS 21L and as fine a back country daypack as you will find. It is a 10 liter low volume design and a top loading rucksack. PS stands for Pro Series Harness system. A Rossignol trademark, this is the wavy shaped panel that comes out of each side of the pack and connects to the compression straps. In addition to very efficient pack compression, these straps are useful in lashing on skis or snowboards. This backpack has separate systems for carrying skis, snowboards, shovels and probes. One of the PS 10's main features is the drop down back panel that allows insertion of a snowboard for horizontal portage. The main advantage of this is that the weight of the deck is low over the hips, and does not wear on the shoulders. And, it is Camelbak compatible. There is a separate hanging compartment inside all of the packs that holds up to an 80 ounce hydration bag. A pass through hole at the top of the bag and velcro straps on either side of the shoulder straps to route and secure the hydration system delivery tube. The pack has a brushed nylon (soft) eyewear compartment and key ring clip. The material is 600D coated fabric with 840D nylon reinforced bottom. It closes with the Speed Lace System which is Rossignol's patented one tug total pack compression system. It is built with the Pro Series Compression Harness. The shoulder pads and back panels are closed cell EVA foam for continuing comfort. The adjustable sternum strap is elastic and this pack has shoulder strap load levelers. The hip belt is wide. Rossignol's System 2 reinforced suspension system fits the anatomical curve of the back and gives you a precision fit on the shoulders and hips. The narrowing shape of the pack at the top of the bag improves pack stability. System 2 is Rossignol's code name for the suspension system that among other things features 2 large oval shaped pads that both cushion the load but holds the bag away from your back to allow better ventilation when hiking. And the materials and design make a pack that is light in weight and durable. The up-haul loop is at the top of every pack Rossignol makes. It is simply a loop to pick up the bag. Up-haul, is also a rock climbing term. When you start a new belay at the end of a pitch, you up-haul your gear from the ground or your last security point. Features:
10 liter low volume design

Top loading

Separate systems for carrying skis, snowboards, shovels and probes

Drop down back panel that allows insertion of a snowboard for horizontal carrying

Camelbak compatible
The dimensions below are approximate dimensions empty.
